Dear valued swim clients and families,
With the recent announcement of restrictions lifting in Alberta, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our swim families for your continued support over the last year. We have made it through the worst. We have faced unprecedented times, closures, restrictions and stipulations; yet our loyal swim families remained understanding of this ever changing situation and our staff were able to continue working to support their families. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sticking by us, and here we are...we made it.
As we move forward, our goal is to see each and every one of you a lot more, and grow together as the best swim school in Alberta. Founded in humble beginnings, we remain a true Alberta company, supporting Albertans, employing Albertans and fostering a learning environment for your children that we are so proud of.
On behalf of all of my staff at Lil Bettas Swim School, we thank you for your continued business and support.

Update: Covid Vaccine Passport - CALGARY ONLY- September 23, 2021
Good Morning Swim Families,
Yesterday, September 22nd, 2021 the City of Calgary passed a bylaw requiring all businesses within scope of the bylaw to REQUIRE all patrons to be vaccinated prior to entering, or using certain establishments; this includes hotel pool and gym facilities.
As a business, we are once again faced with a difficult task of balancing our children's needs to access sports and recreation, and avoiding severe fines and penalties, as well as loss of pool facility use. Shutting down our Calgary location is simply not an option for me. Therefore, effective September 23rd, 2021, the following applies to our CALGARY location only:
-Due to fire code capacity restrictions (1/3 capacity), all parents and siblings that are not swimming, are asked to watch the lessons from behind the glass windows. You are welcome to come in, change your child, and then please remain in the viewing area only; entering again only to retrieve and change your child.
-We will not be discriminating nor dividing parents based on their vaccination status. All parents must wait in the viewing area behind the glass.
-As a swim school, we will NOT be requiring any presentation of vaccination documents to our staff, as the hotel lobby is not within scope of the new bylaw.
-Children 12 and under are exempt from requiring vaccinations.
-We do encourage and ask families to limit the amount of family members they bring to the pool area during this time.
-Members of my staff that have made their own personal choice of receiving the vaccination, will be teaching at our Calgary location.
-Members of my staff that have not disclosed their vaccination status by choice, will be shifted to our Airdrie location so that their income is NOT effected by the new bylaw, and no loss of employment will occur to any of my staff based on their personal medical choices.
Finally, I ask of all of you, to please be kind and respectful to my staff, as well as hotel staff. Everyone is tired, everyone is frustrated and everyone is simply doing their job, trying to get through this. Any parents that become combative, or refuse to be kind, will be asked to leave. We do not need more ugliness is this world, especially around our children.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE COVID VACCINE PASSPORT SEPTEMBER 20, 2021
While we understand that there are challenges facing our world right now, we must advocate for, and normalize life for our children. This includes access to physical activities and recreational programming for them. It is absolutely critical that children continue to engage in activities for their physical, and mental health.
Therefore as a swim school, we will NOT be requiring proof of vaccine from ANYONE. We believe in the individuals right to choose and will not be denying ANY children access to our programs.
We will be adhering to a maximum of 2 swim school swimmers in our pools at ANY given time. Masks are to be worn at all times by parents and guardians unless medically exempt. Seating is set up to ensure up to 15 feet between families, and we ask again that families expedite their exit from the pool area at the completion of their lesson.
We thank you all for your business, and continued support and wish you a safe and happy week.
With Much Love,
Nikaela & The Lil Bettas Swim School Team
